Ingredients

60 pieces

 

450gr unsalted butter at room temperature           

4 cup all purpose flour,

1 cup powdered sugar, 2-teaspoons baking powder, sifted together

The rind of one orange grated fine 

1 fresh egg room temperature

2 teaspoons vanilla

2 tablespoons brandy

1 cup white roasted almonds

4 addition cups powdered sugar for dusting

Rose water

Preparation

Whip butter until light and fluffy.

Slowly add powdered sugar, vanilla and brandy.

Gradually add flour, 1cup at a time and fold in almonds.

Use a tablespoon amount and shape into balls, ovals or crescents. 0 or (.

Place on un-greased cookie tray and bake for 20' minutes in a preheated 180°c or 350°f oven.  

Line cookies on a tray and spray cookies with Rose water and immediately sift icing sugar on the cookies to cover them completely while warm.  

Do not refrigerate. Good for up to 10 days covered in a dry place.

Tip: For successful recipe results, all ingredients must be room temperature
