Φακή σούπα
4 servings:
Friendly printing 2 cups lentils
1 large
onion chopped
6 cloves
of garlic sliced
4 bay
leaves
1 cup
olive oil
5 cups
water
1-teaspoon
Greek oregano
Salt
and ground pepper

Preparation method Pick
and clean lentils from particles other than lentils. Discard bad and
rotten lentils. Soak
lentils in a cold water for 5' minutes and discard the ones that
floating on the surface. Rinse
with plenty of water and pre-boil for 5' minutes. Strain and rinse
again. Combine
lentils and all ingredients, except oregano and oil, cover and boil
until soup is cooked Five
minutes before turning off the heat add oregano and oil. Let it settle
for 5' minutes. Serve hot with teaspoon of red wine vinegar, little more olive oil, olives and crusty bread. |
